In its composition, the corn plaster contains anhydrous lanolin, precipitated sulfur, salicylic acid, pine resin, liquid paraffin, agidol, dimethyl sulfoxide. Clinical studies have shown that leukomass applied to the corn affects not only it, but also the nearby healthy skin. Corn patch has antifungal, antiseptic and keratolytic properties due to its composition. It is of several types. For example, callus plaster "Mozolin" contains precipitated sulfur, salicylic acid, pine rosin and softeners - paraffin, anhydrous lanolin, liquid paraffin, and "Salipod" - salicylic acid, rosin and sulfur.

The active substance can be not only but also other substances - or oxygen acids.

Callus patch is one of the oldest therapeutic forms that are used to protect a skin area from external negative influences, to hide skin defects, to treat ODE diseases. It is also used to fix dressings on the skin surface.

In order to attach the corn plaster to the affected area of ​​the skin, there is a special adhesive tape on which the corn mass is applied. It is superimposed on it from an atraumatic canvas with a hole in the center.

All corn plasters must be used according to certain rules. Before applying, it is necessary to cleanse, degrease and dry the required area of ​​the skin. To separate the adhesive layer from the film, you need to warm it up between your palms. After the callus patch is secured, it is necessary to make sure that the treatment area covers only the affected area. It is usually required to wear the patch for 1-2 days, while it cannot be peeled off at this time.

Corn plasters vary in shape. They are square, rectangular, oval, round and others. Some firms offer special ones for the little finger, for calluses between the fingers, for the ring finger, for small and large calluses. Now there are even options with pads and pads - for the base of the toes or the arch of the foot.

But this product also has disadvantages. Leukomass, applied to the problem area, also affects the healthy areas of the skin that are next to it. Allergic reactions, skin redness and irritation may occur. In addition, corn plaster easily deteriorates during storage, its production requires high quality raw materials.
